Has anyone told you how much you rock lately? Well, you do.

This month we are working to help seniors stay connected. Connected to nature and in turn connected to the larger world. This short intro to geology is taken from our larger study titled Not Just Rocks Geology and offers a good way to connect to nature while learning some pretty cool things.

Spending time talking about nature can help reduce the stress associated with social distancing. Our approach with these print-and–go activities is to support a meaningful interaction as you visit with seniors one on one.

Tips: We recommend doing the first activity with your seniors, which includes a short reading and writing a simple piece of poetry based on nature.
Then leave the second part of the study with seniors. This section includes a coloring page that will reinforce the learning.
